Participants will create simple marketing pieces, learn how to attract customers, and practice confidently sharing their “why.” Perfect for refining existing ideas or inspiring brand-new ones.
Workshop 2: March 8, 2026
From Booth to Brand
Focuses on turning their fair booth into a small, lasting brand. In this workshop, participants examine their existing or creates a brand identity, learns how to create a simple logo or business name card, take great photos of their products with a phone, and leverage digital media and social links.
Workshop 3: May 17, 2026
Money Up: Managing Your Finances
Turn creativity into sustainable practice. This hands-on session teaches cost tracking, fair pricing, and the difference between revenue and profit using kid-friendly examples and worksheets. Participants complete a “My Profit” activity, learn easy sales-tracking methods, and leave with a pricing formula and a plan to improve profits for their next sale.
Workshop 4: August 9, 2026
Show Up & Shine: Pitch & Presentation Day
Build stage-ready confidence. Young entrepreneurs practice public speaking, refine their business stories, and learn persuasive pitching techniques. The workshop includes rehearsal games, feedback from local mentors, and a mini showcase where participants present updated business plans—preparing them to shine at the next Elgin Children’s Business Fair.
